Kenyan presidential elections.

It is two months now before Kenyans elect a new president.

Raila Amollo Odinga,  a man many refer to as `the peoples president’ is vying for this for his 4th time. Following elections rigging allegations in almost all the presidential elections done in Kenya,  Raila is said to be having only one last hunters bullet to fire which if he misses the antelope,  Kenya will miss to have a president of the people.

For over 50 years of re-birth after independence, Kenya has had presidents from only two out of 42 tribes. Tribalism if not corruption, will kill African countries. It is a cancer as Former US president Barrack Obama put it in his visit to Kenya.

Jomo Kenyatta(Gikuyu) Daniel Toroitich Arap Moi(Kalenjin) Mwai Kibaki(Gikuyu) Uhuru Mwigai Kenyatta(Gikuyu)….all going two terms and leaving the country injured with violence and divisions.

With the current president and and his deputy having been ‘elected’ while they were International Criminal Court suspects, Kenyans whose families where killed,  rapped, robbed and internaly displaced still hold the gradge and seeing for optional

With Kenyan cost of living doubled and scandles here and there,  the country is thirsty for new governance but as it stands now,  power transition doesnt look like a posibility in Kenya.  Is Kenya headed for a repeat of 2007 post election violence?
